NEW HYBRID CONFERENCE FORMAT

While the intention of The Tire Society is to conduct an annual in-person meeting and conference presenting new developments in tire science and technology, the safety and comfort of our membership is paramount. Given the current uncertainty regarding travel and attending meetings due to COVID-19, the society is currently planning to conduct its 2022 conference using a hybrid live/virtual format.

It is hoped that most presenters and audience members will be able to attend the conference in-person. However, arrangements will be made for those presenters who are not able to attend in person to present their papers remotely. Exact details are still being worked out, but authors may be confident that they will have an opportunity to present their work even if they are unable to travel to the conference in person.

After the conference, attendees will be able to view recorded versions of the paper presentations remotely, using a play-on-demand format, for approximately 30 days. This will allow those who’ve attended in-person the chance to revisit the presentations.

Those who register but are unable to attend the conference in person will also be able to experience the conference presentations remotely using play-on-demand.
